Cruise Holidays To Honningsvaag
Overview
The village of Honningsvaag is just 1,200 miles from the North Pole (which is relatively close) and you can stand on the 1,000 feet cliffs at Europe's northernmost point, the Northern Cape to watch the sun dip down to just above the horizon over the Arctic Ocean.
Honningsvag is actually located on the island of Mageroya, just off the northern coast of Norway and is the largest fishing village of Finnmark province. It was completely rebuilt after WW2. You can walk around the village, but there isn’t much in the way of big sights – the main reason to come here is to visit the Northern Cape and admire the stark, beautiful scenery.
