Cruise Holidays To Kusadasi

Overview

KusadasiKusadasi is a big, bustling holiday resort on Turkey’s beautiful, pine-clad west coast. The main reason ships call here is to ferry passengers to the breathtaking Roman antiquities at nearby Ephesus, which is usually offered as a full day trip (by far the best way to see it is on a guided excursion). The town itself is also pleasant to explore, with plenty of Turkish restaurants serving excellent local food and a particularly good souk (market) where you can easily spend a day haggling over carpets. Ships dock right in front of the entrance to the souk (larger vessels may have to drop anchor and tender).

As an alternative to Ephesus, it is possible to spend the day on an old wooden sailing boat, called a gulet, exploring the craggy coastline and stopping for swimming and a picnic lunch.
