Cruise Holidays To Oslo
Overview
Situated at the head of a beautiful, wooded fjord, Norway’s capital is a major point of call for cruise shops. The city is easy to walk and is an eclectic mix of neoclassical buildings, wooden houses and impressive structures like the Royal Palace. The best shops are on the pedestrianised Karl Johansgate and Bogstadveien.
Other things to see include the Akershus Castle, the Munch Museum, containing 5,000 of the artist Edvard Munch’s sketches and paintings (his most famous is the iconic ‘The Scream’), the Vigeland Sculpture Park and Bygdoy Peninsula's Kon-Tiki and Viking Ship Museums. In summer, the city is buzzing with life and there are plenty of outdoor cafes and restaurants, and leafy parks in which to sit.
